SHARK DERNY
I was riding to INO town to bring my camera to KOCHI CAMERA SERVICE home of quite possibly the best camera man on the island of SHIKOKU -MORI_SAN.
On the way there I passed this Honda shop and noticed a bridgestone road bike in this window. I stopped back on my return trip and found there was a much more exciting bicycle not in view from the street right next to the bridgestone. It was a Shark DERNY bike. Shark was one of the few NJS approved builders in kochi, and Doubleears has one of his track frames really nice paint and an incredible headbadge showing the island of shikoku with a shark of the shore of Kochi.
My good friend Yojiro of Team Sacrifice and owner of Codacasa sports bike shop was an apprentice of Ito Tadao also know as Yama-MOto a name he took when he retired from framebuilding and started making paragliders..sadly he past on a few years ago.
Acording to Yojiro he made 4 of these dernys sometime in the Mid 1980's. This one has a Shark decal on the tank and unfortunatly MY FUJI 645 is not the best for close ups but if you think that looks like a cinelli logo you are right but it says SHARK instead of Cinelli. For you enjoyment from MISSTER PISSTA

OUTERRNATIONAL despatch
I find myself spread everywhere at once... IM ing with SAM in Jerseuleum, listening to the BBC6 and the punkbritannia specials (siouxie DJ ing?) while I sleep under the shadow of the KOCHI CASTLE having a Ryoma HOLIDAY . I find myself unexpectedly in Kochi due to my daughter breaking a few bones, shes fine just laid up for 3-6 weeks confined to the hosptial so here I am.
I took a flight to Kansai (KIX) and for the first tme was able to leave the island the airport is built on by a hi speed ferry to the Kobe airport. From there a shuttle and a tram to Sanmiesan where I had a few hours to wander around before getting on the night bus across the inland sea to shikoku and over and through the mountains to Kochi.
I have air in my tires and am searching for cameras... can't decide what the market wants but lots to choose from... contax? check- g1, g2 t2 t2tvs...fuji ? yes 645 many types,6X9,Klasse,tiariaII... CHECK me on ebay Kaiben_v to see what I pick up should be there by the 15th..any requests leave a comment I'll look for it..not limited to cameras.. till next time from the land of the rising sun

Photos from 1717 17TH ARTSHOW
ONE for the ( G.S.) LANDLORDS cycling gang
this photo is for the GS landlords cycling team.. follow them ...order their book or end up in the broom wagon of life... check here join the breakaway
This one, from the archives, was shoot on a fuji instant mini (CHEKI) about 2000 . Of note are the hubcaps on the front wheel and the "GAI-CHE" fibreglass attachements from MONG KOK neighborhood in Hong Kong. The kids there were putting them on 20" cnatilever shwinn style frames with 16 " wheels when I was there in 87 or so, the seat braces on this one were fashioned from crutches. The sticker on the seat reads in yamaha script SHITBOX XLT .
The bike was badged GT when I got it from josh pvc but it was from the OTC in colarado springs , and I think they were made to train on and work out the sizing /fit for the GT blade bikes the us track team rode in 96..anyone got info on that?
since it has a 24 inch front wheel I just pretend its a Georgina TerrY as many of the bikes in their line have 24 inch front wheels.

Bicycle Siren /misster Pissta paper blog
officer Fewer- badge 33
I mentioned it before but now it is a reality, the paper blog is now finally complete. I would have posted this earlier today but I spent the better part of the morning at the hall of Justice waiting to get a court date for the citation I recieved last year on Clement street for being within 6 (SIX) FEET (two metres) of a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The officer ,(who I hope shows up in court) flat out told me at the time that for that day he had been given a mandate to only issue citations involving Ped/bike interfaceing. well the cops have almost 500 bucks of mine now until I go to court and then hopefully the judge will give me back at least some of it.
On to the paper blog..

back from the meat world
Hi there readers, I want to send out a special thank you to the three of you that commented on my writings and photos that third comment was what I was waiting for to post, but right when it came I was caught up in the process of my friend Cameron Falconer making a couple of frames one for him and one for me.
Well they got finished and I got started on a Misster Pissta issue of the Bicycle Siren zine(paperblog), the first I have made in a while and the first ever edition of the bicycle siren in color!
Somewhere in there i got invited to a photo show at 111minna which took place on 29 februrary at 111 minna. I was trying to finish the zine and some bags to visit Sacremento but it was my birthday weekend and I decided that as fun as a road trip to bicycle geekfest premerio I would rather spend it in Kinkos- the zine is almost done and I will offer it up here when it is completed.
I have been spending time in the San Francisco Rec&park City Photography Center at the Harvey Milk Building at the west end of Duboce Park or if you prefer the street address- 50 Scott Street. I used to be a member in the 1980's before the building was rebuilt, now that the darkroom has repopened and it is better than ever.
I have been excited about putting my polaroids through the canon copier at kinkos to get an 8X10 negative printed on transparency film which I can then make a contact print with at the darkroom it has a scanning process but it seems to be the simplest way to get a wet print from a polaroid and it has satisfying results.
Anyway here is todays Misster Pisstas Streets photos-I took these pictures the 5th of march. I had to take some photos of this building before it was gone. It was called Bluepeter building.. heres info aBOUT it http://www.bluepetersf.org/.. they thought they had it saved..
anyhow its not there today..
OK gotta work on the zine...
stay on two wheels.. misster pissta.
(in the photo of the side of the building you can see the wasps nests that were in the boarded up windows)

Police stop MUNI train
I live on a Muni LRV (light rail vehicle) line so the various different noises the train makes become second nature, some of the conductors ring a bell if there is a pedestrian on the right of way ,some honk the horn ,some only honk for cars , and then there is the sound of the brakes , well there are at least two distinct sounds, from what I under overstand (I just learned how to use strike through!!) there are three seperate braking systems on the LRV's( more on that later). One of them ,which I assume must be the standard one they use at the lights and what not is a short hydraulic sounding PFFTT, followed by a slight sound like sanding sheetrock right before you paint, this is the one I hear most of the time.
Once in a while there is a different sound ,it's a louder release of air with a loud clunk after a few seconds followed by a much louder sanding sound that sound more like metal on metal , once in a while this will be interuppeted by the sound of impact and thats what I heard the other morning. I looked out the window and it was a patrol car that got hit (last time it was an 18 wheeler). Well I grabbed a camera and went to make sure everyone was still alive. This was about dawn of the last day of 2011.
I got down to the corner and one of the officers was guiding his partner back on the sidewalk (UMM.. we have to stay out of the street) , I asked them if they were alright and they both said yes thanks. I then asked them if they wanted me to call 911.. they almost laughed. I took a shot with the digital camera I had grabbed and it looked really bad, I had just put a roll of 3000 speed in the polaroid 180 the night before ,so I went back inside and fetched a tripod and the polaroid I was back outside just as the first responders were arriving.
You would have thought there were free donuts ... the sad thing is no matter who was a fault the taxpayers are paying for this one, not like when the 18 wheeler truned into the train next to him little more clear cut in that instance (couldnt find my photos of that)..in any case it barely made the papers some of the LRV conductors I talked to said that if it was MUNI's fault it would have been on the front page.

FILM--
![]() |
two on two -bessa R2C 21mms skopar (made by cosina)
the life span of a self recorded CD is known to be shorter than that .
Film cameras for the most part are ready to take a photo quicker then the digi counter part, of course you don't know what you exposed till process the film but most of the time its all good.
polaroids give you the feedback instantly but they are a bit hard to open, compose and shoot while riding a bicycle (my motive means).
In any case here are three shots that I would not have got if I didn't have a quick camera at ready--
I just snapped and cropped digiphotos of the prints......someday I will get a scanner working...
enjoy and ...stay on 2 wheels misster pissta
It didnt have a flat, and the look he gave me, but it sure gave me a double take as well.. (canon autoboy aqua!!)
this is one of the reason I like taking the boat even with a loaded bike you just roll it on trailers? no problem..BART on the ohter hand..leakytube,stinky box..(olympus sylus?)

New Year,new blog new attitude,
I don't know how you found this blog other than the fact that I'm skitching on the comment section of the bike snob nyc LOB HELP US.. in any case I am happy to present to you--
my new trashbucket of images, I bring home from my travels about and awheel (I don't really walk that's just for the comment section).

MISSTER PISSTA
I was going to Japantown with double ears and I went through opera plaza she went on up Golden Gate..I got stopped by this sight on Van Ness right in front of the bookstore...
three formats ALL ODD?
I had the Polaroid on my back so I tried to take a shot with it first, pulling out the meter and putting on the portrait attachment ,you know making an image, well after the print was pulled from the camera and developing, I took out the Fujica Mini Half Frame I had in my front pocket for another couple of shots, I develop the polaroid and realize its way too dark,(see upper left photo) That made me worry about the half frames exposure is touchy sometimes on the fujica anyway
FUJICA mini (1/2 frame) expired fujifilm200
Ive been in this guys face for like 3 minutes now hes gonna wake up right.
wrong ,just to make sure and becuase the elf.jr was in the bag I took another shoot this time with the flash and the APS camera so there you have it a spread of three formats of one theme. I like the fact that he has a rolling paper in his hand a grinder in his lap.. I really missed out by not taking a picture showing how crowded the sidewalk was ,a lesson for next time.. I bet the bag of WEED was gone shortly after I left.. I don't always have 3 cameras but I usally have two..just in case
.and no I didnt take his bag of weed...
next time I promise bicycles......
